Here is another white jug. I found this easier painting it but having trouble with the transition between light-side and shadow-side on the white jug to capture the roundness, also the shadows on the jug may also be too purple. I've been painting in the evenings and I don't know if I just can't see well enough or that the lighting I'm working with exaggerates the colors, same problem as earlier pieces and that Richard pointed out for me in his critique. There is a black card on the shadow side of the setup. This piece I painted before I got the critique and there was helpful pointers in that regard. I may not get another piece done before the close of this challenge but I sure love this new little jug. I went away momentarily from the wood and put down a piece of black granite that has a reflective surface, that was fun.

Reflections add another dimension to the painting. Nice job, still life is your forte.

I like this simple triangular composition and the reflections in the granite...and those grapes catching the white from the jug. Very nice.

Leaveing a large mass for the cluster of grapes and only defining 5 but being unable to stop!  makes me smile, thank you for explaining........dor:))

Thanks saghi, Dor after I posted this I thought it looked too blue still. I had photographed this late in the day and I can't do that without too much cool light hitting the picture and I can compensate but then I need to have good light to do that work by. Anyways I was waiting for a nice day to photograph again but it didn't come and I've been working away from home all week. Just got anxious to post it. I tried to just leave a simple large mass for the shade of the cluster of grapes and just define no more then 5 of them but of course I couldn't stop there. I sure find them fun to paint. The pears are being trumped by grapes now for me although the pear here is front and center still.
