This is the final oil painting after adding in some occillum around the base of the tree and darkening with a glaze the far right side large redwood so the values on it would make it look more 3 dimensional.

Your painting makes me feel like I am entering  into a magically enchanted place.  What draws me in is the path.  (streak of gold, then blue than gold and lavender immediately beyond the 4th or center tree.  The glowing red light on the far right side large redwood pulls me in.

Hey thanks Jim and Dorian! Wow great compliments! I personally think this is my favorite painting so far I have done. A close first is the Tolowa dunes "Sunshine Breeze". If either of you have time, I would love to know exactly what draws you in to this painting and look at all my others and tell me which one or ones you like best.
