Rees Valley in Winter
Oil on canvas 8 x 10. After several practice attempts, I opted for a tonalism style focusing on softer tones and adding calligraphic marks for trees to the middle ground framing the mountain caps in the distance and the frozen river. I gave the scene a more grounded perspective and changed the season.
