I'm gonna have to choose this one Richard. the dynamic "S" composition, just moves your eye through the landscape. That and the interplay of the light and darks, it should be a fun one. I hope you also do get a picture of the one next to this, it too looks as if it has possiblilities...and your painting is lovely...

Come on people

This looks like a Bob Ross scene.  No where as nice as "Waipu Cove Stream"  You could paint this whole scene with UB, sap green and titanium white.

Richard, do you know where the purple color on the river band at front of the picture come from?  Is it from the scene itself or it is the effect of the sun light through the camera lens?

Hi Richard,

you're event is going great!  I like the Rees Valley. I would like to see how the rendering of the shimmering dune like formation of the sand banks will be on oil or acrylic.  I particularly like the contrasting dark shadows of the nearby hillsides as against the towering snowy mountains... I agree with Dania, it is the perfect composition with the S and very melodic mountains.

I like this one because of the "S" compositon and I also like the darks and lights.  Lots of opportunity to explore.
