Hi Ngaire. I too spent my childhood on a dairy farm, in Taranaki. Our camping at Foxton was an added extra to holidays as my husband could travel to work in Palmerston North each day. I took lots of books with me and our 6 children ran wild at the estuary where I could keep an eye on them from the camping ground!

Hi Hazel. My parents were dairy farmers and of course took their holidays in the middle of winter! I can recall many fishing trips to Foxton as a child. I was born in Levin and moved to the Waikato at the age of seven.

Thanks Nita, Ngaire & Dor. This is a favourite spot of mine with many happy memories as we camped here most years when our children were small.
