Thank you Richard for stopping by and for the input!! Muchas gracias! If I enhance it with picassa editor it seem alright... (except for the whale)... but the peal painting is between the enhanced version and the uploaded one. Someday I'll learn how to shoot the exact colours... and the who knows how is everybody seeing this...

Hi Silvana. I agree with you that some highlights could improve the painting by creating a focal area. Add the higher tones where you want to attract the viewer's eye. The whale, simply because it is a living creature becomes an instant point of interest in the painting. Because it is so close to the edge, there is a danger the viewer's eye may be attracted out of the painting. I would be inclined to move the whale a little to the left, placing it more or less one third of the way into the painting and perhaps lightening the tone around him/her.
