I haven't studied anything of Richards except some informative emails of questions I had asked him. I don't study art very affectively. I'd rather be painting then reading about painting. However when life's responsibilities slow down a bit I do have a wonderful book I bought on color and light for skin tones. One of the girls on this site recommended it. I don't think of wasting paint so much as I wonder if I'm wasting time. But then when I can't get to my painting I get nervous and edgy until I am able to paint again. And then I paint for hours and begin to wonder why I am doing it. So I take a rest and start all over again. It is really a very strange hobby sometimes. I do love to paint though. And I also really love this site. I ran into Richard one night when I googled "beautiful paintings" His work was so beautiful and enchanting that I have decided that he will be my favorite artist always. And his words of wisdom are often a topic of discussion at my art club when I read to them one of his articles or emails. So young and so full of Wisdom and he loves what he does. I sure do wish him well. Also, I love "The Complete Artist" Isn't it great?

Thanks Peni, I think yours are quite amazing too.
I am very critical of my own and often think "what a waste of paint!' but do feel very inspired by Richard and his teaching is great. Cheers
