Roeleen, you did a wonderful job on the rose I assure you. That is the great thing about these sites. More eyes and people with more experience is so helpful to help us grow. Terry Clair is a great one to help - he knows almost everything (I think). LOL I do things like paint flowers to look like jack-o-lanterns and not notice that I did it until "after" I post! LOL It just happens to everyone. Laugh and go on. he he Ro

thanks Ro, Now that I look at the painting I must agree with you the background is a little distracting. Was my first attemp to paint a rose so hopefully I will get better?

The rose is beautiful. I believe I prefer the background in Roos2 a little better than this one. I think this is a little distracting. The value range in your Roos2 is a little closer together, where here the value range is more. The colors used here are brighter too making them demand attention. Very beautiful painting. Ro
