I'm calling this painting "finished", whether it is or not! Seems like there is "always" something else that could be changed when working on a painting but there has got to be a point where the artist has to say this is it, it's done.

It's done!

I remember running along a similar path as this one as a teenager. Usually I would run alone. Some of my most peaceful times were spent in isolated retreats such as this one.

A friend suggested calling this painting "Road To Serenity". That's a good name, I'll go with it. "Road To Serenity" after Barbara Nuss.

I really like the tree a lot! - and the warmth in the greens. The fields and background somehow feel a bit rigidly patterned? Ya could have maybe compressed it widthways - too much empty space round the centre of interest? I ain(t too clear where th elight source is.... ? I always seem to restart new version rather than working a long time on it- and it's maybe a bad idea because I always seem to be so heavily influenced by the first version that I pretty well just do it over. It's hard to get radical with adjustments....
