Am playing with Richard's theory that colour changes as it goes around a curve. Have made this chart under glass to help.

It would seem we all have "medical skeletons" in our closets!
Perhaps we should be calling this the "Survivors Group" lol!
All I know is that painting is EXCELLENT therapy! There were a few things I have had to re-learn Terry, but I was SO determined!
I think you are both real troopers! Let's keep marching on! :-))

Hi girls, A couple of good artists if ever I've seen two. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2005. Non hodgekinsons lymphoma. Had a bowel section removed and was on 1 monthly chemo for a year. Then follow up with smaller monthly infusions for 2 yrs. Now I've got my hair back (most of it) and have been given the all clear with reservations. So to keep my memory I have to keep learning new stuff like HTML CSS French Art anything but I know I have to keep practising. The good news is you remember and never forget what you have already learnt and it can be re-inforced it with recapitulation. So fellow relics, I think, no I am sure we are up to Richards challenge. Just remember to wash your hands and use a good hand lotion, Terry

Hi Penni,
This is a great painting. I do understand what you are saying re: medical situations. I had 2 minor strokes about 6 years ago. It plays havoc with the memory and muscles. I still have to write everything down to retain the information. As a result, I have heaps of big journals with information and small sketches and paintings - these are apart from my everyday sketching journals.
All I can say is - keep on, keeping on! I was so determined not to let it beat me. :-))

Hi Gail,
I took my one and only art class last year on acrylic landscapes. I couldn't even pay attention to what she was teaching. She is an excellent teach. It wasn't her, It is my brain. It just doesn't work like it did before I had a heart attack 11 years ago. Now I'm getting way off my point. It's funny how things work. I stayed with the class because she is one of my favorite local artist and does such an excellent job and because I can't seem to ever quit anything. But I did finish the painting that I was working on of my own in her class and one a 1st place contest. That was really really cool.

Hi Penni,
I guess some of us just have curious minds! I like to know the why's and wherefore's behind what is happening, when I pick up my brush to paint. Just lately, I have been doing more learning than painting - hopefully, it will all come out in the wash! :-)) (Pun intended)

I think all of you are really something. It's all way beyond me. All I can do is just pick up my brush and start painting. I have to get my camera out and take a photo though. I have a tough time with plain air. Anyway, speaking of gold. Did you all know that if you don't believe in fairies that you won't find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? A little fairy tidbit.

U-Ahhhh! And I thought it was Terry adding the seagulls! My apologies Terry!
The rainbow was for you all to view and see that Richard was right about the color reversal when there is a double rainbow!
Thanks for the explaination Ro! Yes! A gold star for you!

Gold star to Ro for the seagulls and the rainbow theory, Terry

Truth is I never noticed it before. Maybe it happens more in the lower latitudes and later in the day where the angle of the light is lower. I will get the hose out and have a look. You spray a fine mist away from the sun towards your shadow rainbows appear. Alas no gold. I thought I was a saint once because every time I looked at my shadow in the water reflection I had a halo. Big chance of that! You are all going to get me into trouble because the cost of water here has just gone through the roof. Hang on I'm thinking...Just had an idea...Ring ring engine room. The lighter ultra violet colors are at the bottom..if you move towards a rainbow it stays in place, right?...Maybe that UV light reflects down and inwards, more concentrated by the elipse, and the darker IR light goes up and is less concentrated. Let's call it terry's theory, Terry
