We acompany you and we encourage each other to go ahead. Richard is an excellent artist and very good teacher. But the real guy can help us is ourselves.

In my case, a concept revolution I am learning here. I am learning to allow myself change the way of looking at and thinking about the things I am going to paint. I am still during the procedure. To  totally surrender my selfie is so difficult. But I improved a lot. If you go back to see how I paint for the previous workshops from my page, you will smile for my progress.

You well feel the same if you stay here longer enough and work smart and hard. By the way, here having a lot of painters and artists very kind and knowledgeable. If you ask for, they will be ready to help you or change ideas with you.  Again, we acompany you and will cheer you up. Good luck and happy painting.

Thank you Ningning, I am relatively new to oil painting but I am working hard to learn. I am attempting to improve my landscape work. I hope Richards workshops provide some help.  I am pleased with the challenge so far.

Frank, so happy that you are being with us.  I watched your other works of still life. They are very beautifull done. I love them. I am here to learn how to paint nature. Especially I try to learn using greys. It is very difficult to me. But I am happyly struggling. I enjoy this Rogue painting. It is finely worked out beautiful piece. The value is escellent to me. I also admire your fine work on those subtle degree of colour change for the whole painting. Very beautiful!!!

Ha! I just looked at my own and even though I placed the workshop27 tag first, it displays the IA first. I think you are fine! Richard updates the workshop gallery every few days. It is done manually via the tags.

Thank you Carolyn,  I seem to have a problem in execution.  If you look at the tag in the edit screen it appears just like it is supposed to look but when it posts the IA shows up first. I can eliminate the IA but I don't think it will matter because when I am in the photos and click workshop27 I see all the photos there including mine.  Maybe Richard is on vacation and hasn't gotten around to updating the folder yet.  I will wait and see.

Hi Frank, don't know if it makes a difference that the IA is your first tag,  but in  RR's  directions he specifies the "Workshop27" tag first? Probably wouldn't hurt to change it just in case.

  1. For the Tag enter Workshop27  (Capital W, NO spaces.) If you don't do that I won't find your image and you won't be entered into the competition.
  2. Please also enter "IA" into the tags if you would like the chance to have your painting featured in the International Artist magazine. eg. "Workshop27, IA"

Thank you all for the comments, I hope this gets posted into the workshop folder.  I think I did the tags right, if not please let me know.

Nice different believable sunset, but would like larger gulls in foreground.  :)

Nice painting, only thing that looks little strange to me is this light shape in the lower - left part of big rock shadow (maybe too light - becouse there should be rock still, in this way looks like tunnel in the rock to me..)?

Very beautiful - the foam & spray on the wave & its transparency are really believable!  Lovely clear colour & sunset glow!
