This is lovely!  And a very appropriate verse to go with it!  Beautiful soft pastel colours & nice brushstrokes for the grasses.

Lovely painting Mary. He is a regal fellow. I like the pastel color used in the sky and dark value grass

"Rose Lake Heron", watercolor. We live on a rather wild fishing lake in northern Idaho. These are big birds with a wingspan of 6 feet. For years I tried to get a picture of the illusive blue Heron on our lake and couldn't catch him. Finally I did, and this painting is the result.

Psa.m 63:7 & 17:8b say: "Because You (God) are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of Your wings. I cling to You; Your strong right hand holds me seceurely."
