You are doing real well for the short time you've been painting.  Nice job!

Thanks for your response. I would say you did pretty well with perspective..your lines both converge on the same vanishing point And are convincing. Good job.

thank you all for the nice comment, the painting is a excercices from art school, first years painters, this for learning perspective and depht in paintings, it are ruines, the picture was in black and white, we can choose the colors we want, there is not really a story, it was a excercice for beginners, no more no less, I just tried to make the painting more vivid, this with a view for a good perspective and depth, may not be fully successful, it is also an exercise to learn, therefore I am also a member to this very great site and community to learn and learn and hope to get nice feetback

I am also interested in the story behind this painting. The building looks bombed out to me with a gulf of ruin between the buildings and the people that are across the path of destruction. I'm probably way off but your painting is definitely thought provoking.

Interesting concept. It looks like construction for a building to go up, next to a building already in progress. But then you say "ruins." Are you saying all this gritty urbanization is ruining the once-pristine landscape, or that the buildings are literally in ruins?  I like the "grit" sandpaper as a choice for this, so I am banking on the first option.

Just curious. I like to really get into the depth of a painting. It's should be more than just how we put the paint on the canvas and technique--at least for me. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to your response.
