The inspiration for this painting was a "War Horse" movie poster, which showed a war scene reflected in the eye of a horse. I combined that idea with an earlier painting, Eye of the Zebra and the reflection of an African hunter.
This acrylic painting is 28 x 18 inches and was painted on watercolor paper that had been bonded to a plywood panel. Artist quality acrylics were used and the painting was finished with several coats of gloss acrylic varnish for the zebra's face and several coats of matte varnish animals side.
