Thank you Pal, where did you learn that. This is the year of the water dragon, it supposed to bring lots of luck and prosperity. ...and "Gong Xi Fa Chai" means that.

I also like to wish you and family excellent health, abundant joy and great success for the forth-coming Dragon year. "Gong Xi Fa Chai"

Thomas, I'd like to wish you "gung hay fat choy", I hope that's right!

Lyndon I'm so glad you are ok now. Back home currently we Chinese are celebrating our New Year holiday, much like Easter, everybody came back home for reunion.

This painting was commissioned by a client earlier I told you about; yet to present it to them for comments. I love Bryon's work too, maybe after you have mastered from the DVD I can learn from you...haha.

Warmest Regards,

Thomas sorry for my delay in reply, I've been having intermittent health problems, nothing serious but really debilitating. Really interesting mixture of colours and texture in the painting, hope you sell this one too!

Recently, I went to a website of Bryon Pickering in US who specializes in ocean scenes and as a result I ended up buying his DVD which I can highly recommend although you probably do not need it but I certainly do.

Happy painting!

It does carry me out to sea!

Thanks Kari and Deb for your kind comments.

Ya Kari and Deb, to add more excitements and interest to my painting I made the focus area slanted as well as making the green reflection more obvious. I remember one of my friend described my snapshot of the sea as very rough and generating lots of energy. I am grateful for his comments. Thanks again to all my friends.

It is wonderful, Thomas!  I love the all over pattern.  Did you want the horizon to be a bit slanted?  It does give the feeling of rocking and rolling on a boat.

I like this so much. I always wonder what the media and the size are.??? For some reason my eye always goes to the green light closer to the horizon and wonder if if should be lighter.

This artwork was based on the photos I posted earlier on my fishing trip. It is one of the more challenging subject I pick so far. I think it's still not there yet, still needs some improvements. I welcome some feedback from all my friend out there..
