This is an inexperienced artist asking;  what are these diagonal lines in the distance?  I thought the ones in front are shadow lines?   Sorry, just can't seem to work this one out myself :-((

I'm up against some very stiff competition and most of us that are showing can only dream that we might be chosen for a ribbon or sell our painting.  I see myself gracefully being happy for ribbon winners but we have to get thru the 3 day week end maybe to see if we sell.  It's all so exciting.  This inlet that the pier is at is my cities prime tourist spot.  I'm excited.  And Thank you

Peni...this is just fantastic! I agree with both Peter and Craig.

If the Judges don't seriously consider this for first prize, then they must have mud in their eyes!

Thank you Adele.  Yes, It's 18" x 24" acrylic on Canvas.  It was a real challenge.  It will be in a contest on January 14th.  A blue ribbon and a sale would be great.  It took about six month off and on to paint.
