Hi Maria,
It was just my interpretation from your colorful paintings.
I think the average person expects colorful characters in artists! lol!!
I agree with you about painting on black - it can have a dramatic or mysterious effect in some cases, or give others, such as glass or crystal, that extra sparkle.
Just stay happy with what you do!

Dear Gail,
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my paintings. I see that you too like to paint on black backgrounds. Your work is detailed but some are remarkable when you put it on black and leave a lot to the imagination. In regard to your comment about my self portrait with one of my dogs Maggie, I felt that too much color would overpower my paintings... however I will reconsider .... people have told me that I do indeed have a colorful character.... don't know if that is a good thing! Just the same THANK YOU.

I like this, but was disappointed you didn't use your bold colors to describe your colorful character! :-))
