Beautiful simplisity! I like your brush strokes too. I can fell the water gradually cover the edge of the bank . It was so skillfuly done with the convincing reflection in the water.  I love it.

I also have enjoyed the workshops and I'm really looking forward to Hawaii. I've never painted plein aire before so that in itself will be a challenge. I felt the same about my mountains and in fact the mountains in the photo didn't show up the way they are in the painting.

Thankyou Dana. I would have like a little more atmosphere about the mountains but haven't had time to revisit due to family issues. I have really enjoyed Richard's workshops and have learned so much!  I loved the icy look to your water and you used your three colours really well.

Limited palette of Cadmium Red, Cad Yellow medium, Ultramarine Blue plus Titanium White.  I found the colour combinations amazing. A great workshop!

The water reflections 'wow' and the addition of the little boat on the shore, just relax and watch the whole world go by and by. Thats what it feels like. wonderful
