Reid, thank you so much for your encouraging comments. I must admit, I really like this one, too, even though it looks quite simple technically. I'm really glad you see the emotion in it. That's what appealed to me about the original photo when I found it online, and I tried to convey that same feeling in my painting.
Laura, I LOVE this painting. Is literally drops with emotion. The girls head is slightly turned toward the viewer and tilted down. I can almost "see' the lost and lonely expression on her face. She is so sad but your painting is so beautiful. I can't believe how much emotion you captured using all of the elements. I think how you make it look raining is brilliant. It "feels" wet and that is when you know you've created art. You had a vision for the painting before you started and by the time you completed it, you vision was captured. FULL of emotion. Full of Real life. And the bronze colours on the bottom, amazing! It needs some colour to balance it and those choices and how you applied them are perfect. Easily saleable.
I am glad you like Christine, Dr.Chandana.
Impressive!!
very interesting. No doubt that it has a cold damp feel to it.
Thank you everyone for view the painting!
