INice use of light and dark values to create the feeling of dark forest with a little light on the stream. You have fallen into a trap that is also a problem of mine. Your painting is very similar side to side. If you divide the painting in half it is almost mirror image. The waterfall is centered and so is the light tree behind it. There are twin patches of light behind the trees on left and right. Hold your hand over the left side of the painting moving the waterfall to the right of center. How does it look when changed ? Any way just something to be aware of when planning the next one. Your left brain likes everything all nice and balanced and the same. It feels safer that way.

Beautiful - the pink hues on the rocks add a lot of interest to your painting.
