Candi,I actually do have a cactus but has red flowers very similar to the ones you have uploaded. But you are rght...there is a lot of beautiful flora spread aroun the country.... every place with its distinctive vegetation....

Thanks Silvana! We don't have any blooming now, but the red ones (in my first painting of this) bloomed earlier than these yellow.  We have a bunch of varieties and they all seem to bloom at different times.  This one blooms at night and only lasts for about a day, and it has a heavenly scent!

That figure is great and the flowers on the cacti too!!! Do you have them blooming all at the same time?

Thanks Cristina and Susan!   These are kind of fun little paintings representative of where I live.  Everyone has rock yards here in NM, and you see lots of little ceramic statues as decoration.  We have just one small area of grass,  we put that in when we knew we were going to get our girl Cassidy (our 70 lb standard poodle).
