Snowy Owl Revised

9 x 12 Acrylic on Canvas Pad sheet. This is revised from an earlier "Snowy Owl". Sandi asked me to cast a shadow on the eye to add some depth. I think it is much better. What do you think Sandi?

Comment by Sandi Lear on January 16, 2016 at 11:08: Shadows can be scary things and usually are quite dramatic if one squints the eyes to see the values without colour. I usually do a value sketch to sort these things out otherwise my brain gets all colour-discombobulated (love that word!). I have attached a sketch to show you what I mean.
