Thank you Charles, this was inspired by a trip to Sorollas house in Madrid, i took a photo of them sitting just like this on a shelf.
I like this painting also. admire your patience for the details.
Thanks for stopping by Dor, and thank you for commenting. I think you are right about the flat look and softening the edges. I keep meaning to get back and do something about it as it did take some time to paint and would be worth it. Also, your opinion is by no means humble, I value it very much indeed :-}}
Just had to come and take a look! Your detail is outstanding. I love the table the jugs are sitting on, very shiny almost like glass, amazing. What should be done to get rid of the flat look is to soften edges on the Jugs, "in my very humble opinion". I do not know for sure! Smiles to you :-)
Thank you for your comments Jon & Cristina, very much appreciated :-}
Beautifully done!!
I like the orange background. Ingres collected Greek pottery - and funnily enough, I tried to do a painting of them - but it was a wiper - well done you!
Thank you Laura appreciate your comment :-}
Wow! It is so real, so much details! I love these Jugs. Lovely painting, Pauline!
Hi Candi, Yes they probably are a bit flat looking, I have painted them from a photo that's probably why, I took the photo at the Sorolla Museum during Richards Spanish workshop in September. They were fun, Thank you for your comment Candi
