Oh - thank you Ngaire.
This painting is part of a creative communities project to help titivate Taihape - all the streets are named after native birds so they are making metal replicas of the birds to sit on top of the signs, based on digital images of local artist's paintings.
If the artist likes the paintings are sold at an auction to raise funds for further beautifying of the town. I'm only too happy to donate mine but quite scary seeing one's painting go up for auction!
