Stillife - fruit
Acrylic - 600mm X 900mm (24" x 36"). I've started to dark with the background. Later I've painted the little shelf with the key to break the dark background.

Nice work, Pieter.
Are you arranging the objects in front of you and painting the still life from that, or are you working from different photographs of objects and creating your composition from your mind on the canvas?
I ask because I am interested in the lighting, and the shadows, of both your paintings.
