Love this.. the only thing I would do is put a tinge of a cool color on the shadow part of the bridge (perhaps a lighter shade of the blue shadows in your windows at top left?) to indicate the depth a little more, other than that it is superb as usual.
Beautiful - you've really captured the feeling of a cloudy day - lovely subdued colour.
Great job , beautiful details..
Thank you Ian and Carol.
Your right, the composition does depend on a balancing act of colours and their placement. Having re looked at the painting the photography has changed the hue on the greens giving a horrible vividness. I must say however, when I shoot my final paintings they all seem to give different effects in their final result...I shoot on a Nikon using an easel and northern light..............any tips??
Fantastic! I love the texture in this!
I believe this is watercolor, right? You have done a great job of the composition and I love your technique. I am wondering about the brightness of the green etc, as compared to the bridge though. With the water and bridge most in the forground, the building, etc. to the left stand out a little too much I think. If you could add more color to the lit part of the bridge I think it would be more bring it together better. Maybe you are not finished? Anyway, the structure of the drawing and composition is lovely! The water looks great,
Just my thoughts!
