Staurinn við Reynisvatn, oil on canvas panel, 12 x 18 cm

This was a very rainy and gray day. I laid down a thin wash of the aproximate grey under colours. Then used the colours straight from the tube, without using any medium. I was most interested in the very rough grass and foliage that fens post seemed to be growing out of, and tried to capture that.
