Thank you, Tracey. It was fun doing this painting and surprisingly easy. The trunks were done by dipping a flat, thin brush into two acrylic paints at once and sweeping once or twice upwards. I was really surprised to see the nice 3d look that resulted. The grass I did with an old toothbrush dipped into two colors, quinacridone gold and dioxazine purple.

I am intrigued by this painting. It is both fun and creepy. The angle of the tree makes me feel rather small, like I am looking up from the ground. It is peaceful but yet creates tension, like a storm is brewing.
