Thanks Kim for your pleasing comment. Yes, the branches are pointing downward as some pine trees do. Some places in America have these and some other places do have those trees with branches that grow upward. When I paint, I never have a reference photo because if I have, I get distracted and could not paint at all because I would be tied up with the reference photo. The idea  just espontaneously pop out from my mind before I paint the landscape.
