Thanks everyone who likes my workshop2  painting  and everyone who points out my problems of my work.  It is a wonderful feeling to be paid attention  and be cared for.  This project not only gives me an opportunity to enjoy  the nice paintings but also beautiful people. Our teacher Richard put his big effort to make it helpful  and beneficial for us and try hard to guaranty it going on well. Thanks Richard for all you have done for us.

One of my artist friends sent me a quotation.  Here, share with you:    ¨ It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow¨.-Robert Goddard  Let's be ready for Richard's next challenge.

Li Ninging, I think this would be my favorite picture. Many, many others are good but you have been able to pull many things together.  For instance your overlapping design element. gives depth, carries my eye  and makes me want to see what is behind those trees.  Your strokes are pretty loose, as Richard would say, your painting has a glow which is from control of your palette.  The painting is pretty and overall pleasing.  This was very similar to the view I did for mine.  The difference is you finished yours and turned it in.  I would have too if mine had looked like yours.  The only critique would be your corners.  Your eye is supposed to stay on the picture and not be carried away through the corners.  I am sure this rule has been sucessfully broken many times by artists.  You may have been one.  I do not deserve to even critique any painting.  I did not turn one in.

There was a special need to comment on yours because I believe you are a good artist and by the end of this program will be a great artist.

Great painting unsure what light conditions photo was taken , this has warmed ( orange tint) whole painting.
Have you read how Richard takes photos and the light condition used , this picture seems to be inside under warm lights.
I had a lot of trouble with my photos so I experimented in different lights and inside and outside found this very intresting and changed the look of the painting.
To crop photo you can use a free editing and cropping software called picasa 3 made by google download from the internet.

this is very nice li...as richard says, you might see a bit more of the river bottom on the lower right of your piece - more greeny browns and darks...would also lead your eye better..one more picky thing...good job of making the foreground clump of grass bigger but as you go back they are all pretty much the same size...very picky...but a really nice painting!!

Casey , Thank you for your approval of this painting. Tell you the truth that it took me 24 hours to finish it as there were so many elements to be take care. It was not easy for me. I sincerely hope that you can help me by pointing out any problems of my paintings, this one or the ones later on. I will do the same for you. Waiting for your work be uploaded.
