Im speechless .... Great work!
Such beautiful work. Truly an inspiration.
At Chris.....thank...too kind.....the running colour was inspired by my teacher Richard Schmid who at some demonstration smilingly commented that having running paint looked "artsy", so naturally I had to try it. When done with medium rather than just turpentine or solvent, the glow keeps in the "river"...... and it stays transparent without loosing it's light. have a go at it....
Mikael,
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I understand the story behind the picture now... :))
All your work is fabulous but this one is my favorite. Love the warm cool relationship, the composition and the leaning birdbath.
Thanks you guys for all your kind words......
At Patricia.....Tage Andersen is a very well know (in Denmark) flower artist. This was painted in his shop in Copenhagen. At the back there is a small courtyard which is fenced over, and filled with birds. Tage sits here all the days in the afternoon having a tea, and watching the birds take a bath in the basin at the bottom. So it was quite important for him to get in the picture........
All your work is outstanding. This one is particularly masterful. Thank you for sharing. :-)
Gorgeous work Mikael. Love your gallery
THIS IS SO GORGEOUS!! Love the composition and also the lovely wise man look that you have captured and painted so well.
There is just one question, I would like to ask you please. Why did you paint the bottom left hand side brown structure so big?
