Thanks, Jessica - good points - I've thought about them - I think you're right. I've changed it a bit more - and I even when back to see I could get a better angle. One conclusion is that one mustn't be afraid to modify/rearrange the subject! Thanks a lot for commenting - it's kinfd of you and I APPRECIATE it :)  !

I like the addition of the far away town - gives much more depth & interest.  You could also add some more suggestions of windows/door to the closer barn. The warm colour of the barn is very beautiful.  Just wondering about the horizon line where the hillside slopes off beside the tree -  it seems like there's a bit too much of a slant making the big tree seem to tilt - might just be me though; I know you said it's on a hillside!
