I should explain what the two lead figures are doing..... at the horse sales, this is how "the deal" was sealed/confirmed.  There is no longer a horse sale - the old tradition [hundreds of years old], was stopped two years ago.  There's now a horse show, always held on the second day of the Fair [which is always on the last Monday and Tuesday of August], Ballycastle, Northern Ireland.
