Thanks Pauline, I know it not quiet right. At least I did draw it. will have another go though, i could see its too high up at the front but by then it was on the canvas and half done so i thought i would finish it anyway. wont win any prizes but its there and i've learnt from the mistakes. my drawing will get better.

Thanks for you info and its good to have info about your work as that is the only way to grow and go forwards.

Hi Debbie, love your colours, water and the little rocks are lovely.  Yes it does rise up at the front, your dinghy needs to be foreshortened to make it appear flat, if you imagine a box on a table level with your eye the back edge would appear to be quite close to the front this is how you should draw your boat to make it appear to be flat in the water! hope i've explained myself ok?

I did draw this dingy, I know Richard said we could print it of and trace it but I have not got my printer working properly so I sat down and did my drawing.  Its up a bit high at the bow, where Richards is flatter. Over all I'm pleased with it although I can see my mistakes. May try to re-draw it one day. Ha, ha just as well I'm not a boat builder. lol :-)
