Acrylic 8x10. I worked on the rocks and the distant mountain and I grayed down the mid-ground trees. I realized, the foreground grass was too garish (didn't change that just tried to get the brightness right so that it matched the painting.

Lovely painting, Susan. I like the way you handled that soft inviting grass.

Ningning, I use acrylics so it's dry; but, I think I'll try a few things on acetate to see how it looks!  Thanks for the input!

Susan,It is very nice now. But if you really want to play it, maybe on the big rocks put some soft highlight. Like the colour on the top of that small rock at the right side of the middle ground. I won't put too much or too obvious as the whole painting is in a soft tone. I hope that your painting is dried already. Because if you put some colour then do not like it you can take it off without affact the work you haved done.  Good luck!

Thank you, Ningning! I appreciate the suggestion--I think you're right; maybe on the rocks or the main tree?

Beautiful!  The colours are well harmonized. The colour value and hue changes so well through the distance. Very well done. Maybe, it is possible to at some stronger highlight  somewhere. I am not very sure. It is very soothing and comfirtable. I would like to sit against that big stone close my eyes and listen to the singning birds. Susan, again, it is very finely done. I love it.

The green grass in the foreground is still a little brighter than on my painting. It looks right when it's on my desktop. Does anyone know is it the shade of green I've come up with?  The midground and far grasses match the painting. Do I gray down the front grass? Although I like it on the painting---suggestions, are as always welcome, as are critiques!
