Thanks Dorian, I will look at it in a day or two with fresh eyes and decide what to do. :)

Thankyou for your comments Li. It's a very valid point you are making. I didn't want to overpower the painting with rocks but then maybe you are right. :)

Ngaire, Supper colour contrast and combination and moody as Jon mentioned. I love your drawings too, the trees and stones are very well done.

I almost finished mine. But my big rocks look like potatos. Shapes are not good . Your big stones are much better and with logical phases and values well well done. I love it. The small stones are very well shaped and coloured. But one small thing bothered me. They are very similar in shapes and size. Maybe you would like to try what Richard mentioned to make some of the stones at the foreground connected together. Let them become bigger ones. It may make your painting more simple and powerful .

I found that it is not very difficult . Today, when I had a trouble with the branch on the ground. I gave up. I put a lot of stone there like you did. So , I connect some of them , beyond my imagination, it was a very easy job. I am happy now. But I have other problems, tomorrow, I will correct them and upload it here.

Ngaire, again,  your judge of value is excellent and your control of colour is  very well .  I love this moody scenery. Please take my observation only as a reference view.

Thankyou Denis and Silvana. I was going great guns, got about halfway through and was interrupted! It was a bit hard to pick up where I had left off. Great fun though, it took me about an hour all up!
