Somehow I must have missed all these comments! Forgive me for not replying - I do appreciate them all. You are right Thomas - yes- I do paint far too "tight and detailed!!" I start off more freely then can't help myself trying to reach the wrong perfection. I am in the process of attempting to change so joined this sight and had a lesson with Richard Robinson to help put me on a new path - not easy for someone who will be 80 this year to let go of old habits but I am inspired and encouraged by this community of artists and hopefully they will not be afraid to be honest in their criticism and I will get braver!

Hi Robin.its obvious that you paint rather tight and detailed....With that said, your paintings are full of color and light...and a pleasure to enjoy...and never boring...

You handled all the greens so well.  The coop/building is excellent as is the entire painting in my opinion. Well done.

Great painting Robin. the subject, colors and all are fantastic! Love your detail ALL OVER, while nothing takes away from the subject of the shed!  Love it!!

Beautiful Robin...this reminds me of my grandmothers chicken coop. Such lovely work!
