Thank you Gina for your comments. I have made a few changes since I have posted this one. But I didn't remove the tag.
I like this Laura. The way you've handled the foreground rocks makes me think of a dangerous, slick slide into the depths below. Perhaps a stronger definition of values between the rock edge foreground right, and the water would give a stronger sense of distance to the swirling tide below. In my own experience, this foreground was the hardest part to paint. Cheers. Gina
Thank you Sharon!
Yes, Ningning I will be very carefully to give a touch when I am ready.
I like the energy in this painting!
Laura, if you really curious and want to try, please be careful, because of distance, mix some cooler grey , but at the same time, try not break the very good colour harmony you have duilt up. Good luck!
Laura, your colours are highly harmonized which united the whole painting gracefully. The middle ground rocks could be a little bit greyer and cooler because of the distance. I love the texture of the rocks, very convincing. I like your water too and I know that you really made an effert to perfect it. You got it!!! The coast line of the background is excellent and dramatic, is my favorite part of your painting. The foggy air and clouds seems a bit too warm from my screen. But I know that is because of the camera. My blueish purple grey sky also looks like iron grey, warmmer. Laura, you did great job!
Hi Betsy, Thank you so much for your encouragement. I am looking forward to your art.
Laura, this is good. If it's any consolation to you, I am going to title my painting "Geological Mystery," because rocks like mine have never been seen anywhere on earth! I am really suffering with this one and your painting inspires me to try to do better!
Thank you Silvana, Xiao for your encouragement. I am so happy to hear that it is improved from previous one. I was struggling a lot with this workshop, also I learned a lot from it.
