This is the exact palette we used for the 'grey' workshop. I hate leftover paint so I tried one without those dratted rocks and found it more difficult than my rock painting . I really wish I could tighten my paintings up and if anyone can help me with this I am all for it.

I like your style on this painting. It shows wonderful brushstrokes and conveys the mood wonderfully
Fantastice work!!!
I agree with Donna, this painting has a wonderful painterly effect. But, if you really want to "tighten" it up, it is just practice, you could let the painting dry some and use smaller brushes to add some detail. But, I honestly would not touch it, it is beautiful as it is.
Hi Donna,
First impressions always count. Your painting has lovely tonal qualities that are spread evenly and to add to that, the depth and compositional values are spot on. As far as any 'drawing ' is concerned, I agree that the brush should always do the talking and your painting has achieved exactly that ...........you have a very succinct style.
Fantastic sky!
I know ! Rhetoric is the easy part !!
Whatever you call it, I am SUFFERING with the rocks in the current assignment. Easy to talk about..,but yikes! all that rhetoric is lost when the paint hits my canvas!
I guess it is a play of words because when all is said and done we do want the finished product to show us a "drawing". Good thinking day !
