Hi Ian, Yes there is an enthusiastic Plen-Air group, if you need a contact just say. If you havnt been into Cannan Downs at the top of the Takaka hill it is well worth the effort, if your camper van is huge it may be a bit trying driving the 13 ks of gravel road, but there is a great overnight area at the road end. Best to be driving in early in the day, that way you avoid the afternoon outward traffic, not that there is a lot mind.  Cheers Paul

Hi Ian, yes a favorite place I visit often. It is looking at the Gorge River lookout. The lookout is just above Harwoods Hole, Cannan Downs, Takaka Hill, Nelson, NZ. I am keen to paint this, are trying to upskill a bit first with a few of Richards lessons.
