Jim, If you have photoshop, you can play around with changes on the image, before you put brush back to canvas. If you dont have it, I think you can get it (Photoshop CC) from Adobe for $20-25 per month. It's a great tool for artists, because you can try out different ideas and then determine what or if you want to change anything. Just a suggestion.

Thx Betsy and Silviana for your comments, both are well taken. Maybe darkening the foreground would give the scene more depth and adding a few figures would give the whole thing a bit more scale.

I enjoy looking at your waterfalls. You have an interesting abstraction of shapes going there with your rocks. The dark frames the light of the falls nicely. I wonder what would happen if you darken the bottom a little to balance out the weight of the heaviness of the dark upper half. Squint down hard (til you are looking through your eyelashes) and just look at dark vs. light. Just a thought that crossed my mind, so I pass it along. It's a nice scene anyway, and since I am a beginner, I could be WRONG!
