Thanks for the comments Timothy re my painting, I think it's great that we can get such unbiased opinions from other people that have the same interests as me.  My family are very biased and think ""I am so talented"" so it makes a change to received unbiased opinions.    cheers to you.

This painting is beautiful! You do a great job with the rocks and the water. I really like the perspective.

One suggestion I have would be to add more light blue into the trees to create more harmony.

Regarding the rocks in the waterfall, I think it would help to see the original photo.

Thanks Lyndon for your comments, I do agree, I did put some shading, but I was a bit reluctant to put anymore shadows etc.  I think I need to very lightly make the rocks behind the waterfall show slightly not just water, the photo I took did have the bumps you mentioned but I just couldn't quite get it.  I will I think alter that water.  I appreciate your critique...cheers

Brenda, I think you have done a great job with the foreground rocks, water, water reflections and the figures but there is something that does not quite gel with the waterfall itself.

To me, it appears too regular which makes it look a little artificial but the water itself is very believable, maybe a couple of bumps at odd intervals on the way down would help.

I hope this is of some assistance.

You certainly know what you're doing with the acrylics, keep the paint flowing.
