Thanks Stephen & Lyndon. I tried to tighten up on this study to understand where the colours change with the hope that it will help with identifying them quicker in future loose attempts.

Hi Montalvo, i definatley see what you mean. It had a strange highlight in that area which kind of attracted me to the set up but i think it is too cool as you say making it float off the surface. Looking at it now i realise that the highlight would be a reflection from the gloss surface of the tomato! Great still life's are so deep in knowledge & my appreciation for them is growing. Thanks for the feedback i'll retouch & repost.

Dirk, what a simple but very effective composition and beautifully executed!

Good one!

Old container is awesome Dirk! The different levels of shadow color to the right on the wall and on the bottom where canister sits and extends out is really nice. The only thing that bothers me is the white between the tomato and the reflection. Now remember im just studying it like it was mine, but....it's not. :) So my question is do i add more yellow to connect the reflection to the tomatoe so it's not levitating a bit?  I would have to try one out my-self. Thanks for posting. I've really enjoy studying others works. Canister and tomato are awesome.
