Thanks Ann. I guess this wasn't really meant to be a 'painting' both of these trees are actually on the same canvas side by side. I was just practicing making them look dimensional and varied etc. but I appreciate the comments : )

The branches are nice and varied with warm light on the bottom of the trunk. The tree is centered in the middle of the canvas and would be better to one side with an area on the large side that allows us to go further back. The green is like a large wall keeping us from moving around the painting. You did all the above suggestions in the next painting.
