Brass and gold metalic in the sky. Really interesting how these paintings change in varying light.

Melanie, thanks so much. I have not been using oils. I started there many years ago. Here the metallic is only in the sky. I have enjoyed experimenting with it because of the changes lighting will make. But I think that I need to be very careful because you could make you work also look cheesy! Thanks for your encouragement.

Did you use the metalics only in the sky?  I have a lot of oil metalics and tried to use them once or twice and did not have any luck.  It is kind of tricky on how you use it or it does not work.....at least in oil anyway.  You seem to be good at it.  By the way I have looked at all of your work and you are very talented! Beautiful paintings!
