Yes, you right. Working with oil very different from acrylic, but as I found gives you more opportunities to achieve the desired color and shade. And also, because I need achieve more patience in my painting....

I have never attempted acrylics........I think they might dry to fast for me!  LOL  How do you like the switch to oils?  More time to blend and such.   You did a nice job on this.
