Another fantastic portrait, Michael.  That light around his head looks like it could be the aura from a migraine!  He really looks overwhelmed.

Double Wow's, To you my friend! You are, indeed an artist and evolving so quickly it's amazing. You've portrayed the story of "over whelmed to despair" in a very effective way. You are commanding an effective and quite beautiful use of color that I really enjoy...and your brushwork...loose, strong, confident, subject matter: gripping, poignant and compelling me into the room with the wish to reduce the suffering. You are moving into the realm of Sargent's style in many ways, his strength in portraying stories within his portraiture. Not a boring face to record for all time, but telling the story of the individual...in this case, you. Congratulations, once more.
