Oil painting, 6" x 10", A gray scale value study of compressing values. The painting was done in values 3-4-5-6-7 reserving values 9 and 1 until the very last and in only small amounts. This is one of the exercises in Richard Robinson's color course that I am going through. The exercise is to teach to see color as value.
