Value Study

9 x 12" oil on canvas board - I had a great deal of difficulty properly adjusting the color of these greys on the computer. It does not have this pinkish look to it. Also at this point it is pretty obvious that I was very focused on trying to copy the photograph.

Comment by Roena King on September 25, 2013 at 1:57: Mary this is really wonderful in my eyes. You did a really nice job of making the clouds appear soft-clouds are always soft even if they are hard to paint that way. This may be your first few attempts at oils but I thing you are doing GREAT!
