12x16", oil
Tried to stay true to the palette of the workshop. Worked from a gouache sketch that I did on location with my plein air group.

Great glowing effect in the trees Eddie! Nice design too.
Love the colors Eddie.
love those trees Eddie - Beautiful work !!!
Okay. I see this is the colored version. Very nicely done. You paint your trees very beautiful.
Beautiful trees, your diligence and hard work are paying off. Even more impressive when done in plein air.
I have posted my tonal sketch for this as well.
Thanks everyone. I purposely had to tone down the spotlight effect so that my values would read right. I tried not to overwork this painting.
During the last 12 months or so, I have diligently worked on my tree rendering. First in pencil sketches, then tonal paintings in gouache, and finally in oil. Lots of hours sitting outside doing nothing but trees. Always a labor of love.
